Baptist Golden Triangle wins marketing awards

Baptist Golden Triangle won two awards, including Best of Show Overall, and the hospital’s marketing director, Megan Pratt, was named Senior PR Professional of the Year at the 29th annual Mississippi Hospital Association Society for Health Care Marketing & Public Relations Maggie Awards held in November.

One entry, “Hospice Patient Receives Priceless Wish,” won both the Best of Show and “Special Events – Hospital Based” Maggie awards. It chronicled Baptist Hospice Golden Triangle’s efforts to fulfill the last wish of 85-year-old hospice patient Walcie Porter of Columbus – to go fishing on the Tenn-Tom Waterway with his grandson, as they had done many times in years past.

Megan has worked at Baptist Golden Triangle for 17 years and has been marketing director since 2010.

The Senior PR Professional of the Year award is given to an outstanding professional in the field of health care marketing and public relations in Mississippi.

“I was honored to be recognized for my work and the years I have spent in health care marketing. I work with a very talented team in the marketing department at Baptist Golden Triangle that works hard every day to promote our outstanding hospital and our Baptist system,” Megan said.
