Recently there have been several hacking incidents. The purpose of these hacking incidents is to provide the hackers with specific personal information, including email accounts (either personal or business accounts).
Internet criminals may exploit this information in many ways, including sending spam, phishing, or even blackmail messages. They will use multiple tactics to make people click on links or open infected attachments.
Please be aware that Internet criminals are engaging in these activities. Do not be tricked or coerced into responding to any questionable emails you receive. Forward suspicious emails received at work to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you receive a suspicious email at home, we strongly suggest you immediately delete it. Do not click on any links that purport to tell you whether your personal information has been compromised.
