Toya Tolliver, RN on 5 North in the post-op surgery unit, earned her DAISY award for strong leadership as the head nurse. “She not only explained in detail what and why my father would have to spend the night for further observation, but even stayed after her shift had ended to perform procedures on my father that could have easily been passed on to the next nurse on duty. Toya’s unselfish dedication to complete strangers was remarkable.”

Cambrin Morgan, RN in the ICU, earned his DAISY as a result of two patient nominations. Both noted his exceptional kind nature. “I’ve been in a hospital before, but had not had anybody or nurses treat me like Mr. Cambrin Morgan did. He cared about treating my needs while I was in the ICU. He’s an awesome nurse. You should be proud to have some-one like him working here.”
