Why did you choose Baptist?
Being a part of the development of a state-of-the-art pediatric facility with the new Pediatric Emergency Department, future pediatric intensive care unit and acquisition of pediatric sub-specialists.
What do you do outside of your job:
Play violin, work out at the gym, roast and eat veggies and watch Svengoolie Saturday nights while sitting on the couch next to my best dog, Snickerdoodle.
Who inspired you to pursue a medical degree:
Robert Stroud, whom most people know by the title “Bird Man of Alcatraz.” I read his book when I was 11 and I had a sick canary. I found the place where he described the same symptoms my bird had. I did what Stroud said to do, and by suppertime the bird was singing. I was amazed.
