United Way giving campaign kicks off season of giving

November marks the start of Baptist’s season of giving, with many opportunities for team members to help others. On Nov. 6, check your Baptist News email for a special invitation from Scott Fountain, senior vice president and chief development officer, about the 2017 United Way employee giving campaign.

You can support the United Way by giving through a new online donation tool—a convenient, environmentally friendly option that allows you to designate 100 percent of your contribution to the Baptist Foundation, your local United Way or any 501(c)3 charity of your choice. United Way will email you details about how to give on Nov. 7.

Also, #GivingTuesday—founded in 2012 as a pushback to post-Thanksgiving commercialization on Black Friday—returns on Nov. 28. This day is now recognized as a day of intentional giving and is a great opportunity to support the Baptist Foundation.

For the ninth year, Baptist team members in the Memphis metro area will have the opportunity to give back and help the homeless through the Baptist Operation Outreach Tree of Faith, Hope & Love.

This holiday season, shop on AmazonSmile. Each time you purchase through AmazonSmile, 0.5% of the product price will go to the charity of your choice, including your favorite Baptist Foundation charity.

Stay tuned for more information about all these giving opportunities.
